Energy and CO2 savings
June 17, 2021: The technical team around the Danube Tower is taking every opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint of Austria's tallest landmark.

Therefore, three high-pressure mercury lamps were replaced for the Novomatic spotlight. These had a total output of approx. 6.5 kW.
They were replaced by three LED spotlights with a total power of approx. 0.6 kW.
The Donauturm team was thus able to achieve the following annual savings:
20,000 kWh energy
8,000 kg CO2
Further possibilities for energy savings are being worked on.
